so why must we get that "what do you mean your not going to burning man" crazy look from people when we charge five bucks to see some of the biggest djs in the world? the same djs if you see them anywhere else it will cost you $20 and up???

Foreign

Does anyone else agree that the "foreign" section at movie rental stores and/or Netflix should be broken out into subcategories so that customers can actually figure out what they're renting? I've often found the plot descriptions on many foreign movies to be so vague and ambiguous that I can't tell if I'm about to rent a comedy, drama or thriller. Is this just ignorant Americans throwing all things with subtitles into the "foreign" bucket? I'm having a hard time even believing this happens in cosmopolitan places like SF and super p.c. Berkeley.

I think I prefer reading the book before I see the movie. Movies usually fall short of my own interpretation of the story (in my head.)

Aids Marathon

So - many of you know that I am training for the Aids Marathon in December. I ran 8 miles on Saturday!! I will run 9 miles this weekend!

But I need to brainstorm about fundraising. So - I am leaning on you all. Any ideas? I need to raise at least $3,000 by AUGUST 25th....which is approaching. So all ideas are welcome. I have a few brewing but I really want to see what you think.

So I was watching TV last night and there was a thing on the Daily Show about life coaches, and while I think they are a big rip off and retarded to boot, it got me thinking...

Seems like they're kind of like shrinks, but they tell you what you should do.

Does that mean I'm better off just consulting a Magic 8 Ball?

And how do you make up your mind about something when you can't make up your mind?

Manny Berenguel, aka Paranoid Jack, first started Djing in 1994. At the time, he was heavily influenced by the New York / Jersey Garage sound and began to play small underground parties in Toronto's warehouse scene with veterans DJ Cube and Alvaro G. His roots were firmly placed in soul, disco and funk which became an important part in shaping his production philosophy later on.
